Remember when we were kids and we used to play with tonka toys? The dump trucks and the monster trucks were cool and all but do you remember which one was the coolest? I do. It was the truck that you could pick stuff up with and move it to the other trucks. The one with the "hand" like extension that you could grab the tv remote from across the room and bring it to yourself (when it worked and wasn't too heavy of course. The truck I speak of and the one we've all loved since child hood is the grapple truck. In the big boy world, a grapple truck is a truck that has a grapple loader mounted to its frame, which is used for loading and sometimes hauling bulky waste.

What is a grapple loader you may ask? Well, a grapple loader is hydro-mechanical device able to rotate on an axis with a grapple or bucket attached at the end of the boom, which is intended for the collection of waste that due to size and/or weight is impractical to containerize. Grapple trucks are commonly used by municipal sanitation or public works departments, and by waste collection companies. The Grapple truck is the perfect fit for picking up bulky waste, brush and debris around the rail yard and on the right-of-way. Grapple trucks for sale are great complements to railroad construction projects; one common application is to use the Grapple truck for picking up material during pole line removal. Grapple trucks will have attachments that include clams, scoops and rakes.

The Grapple truck can also work with materials as fine as gravel and sand and as large as beams and tree branches, further compounding on its versatility and usefulness. With the magnet attachment, the Grapple truck becomes a junk yard's best friend as it is able to transfer scrap from cars to wherever the driver directs it. This also comes in handy when Grapple trucks are used in road construction and repair. Construction companies can put grapple trucks to good use in preparing the construction site for a building. This is to get rid of any debris that could hinder the construction. The grapple truck, with its refuse/ trash grapple, is particularly suitable for this task since it is perfect for scooping unwanted debris from the site, eliminating the need for workers to manually load or unload such material into a dump truck. Waste debris such as soil, wooden scaffoldings, rocks, and cement can also be removed from the construction site as needed during the building operation by using the polyp grab attachment that is specially designed for handling round objects.
